Latest News National Points Champions Monday, October 01, 2018 Each year we crown a National Points Champion for the team with the most points during the season. Winning the title takes an enormous amount of planning and dedication to pull it off. Blake Blann and Rory Riley are both USA Bassin Assistant Directors with full-time jobs and they managed to win the title after a marathon season that spanned over 80 events in two states and on 21 different bodies of water. "We both fished events with different partners in the 2017 season and we decided to team up for the 2018 season to try to win this. I told him I would try it once and we were committed to doing it," said Riley. "We set a maximum of three hours away for tournaments and to pull it off we fished Saturdays, Sundays and during the summer we fished Tuesday and Thursday night events." They live in Indiana, but also fished Kentucky events to get enough events in. One of their seven victories during the season was on a body of water they had never fished. They won an event in the Grand River Fall Division in November. Their 6308 points during the season was mindblowing. "We had so many people tell us we were crazy and that we would never get that many points. Once we started we were committed," he said. They fished all of the events out of a Ranger RT188 aluminum with a 115hp Mercury and said the boat and motor were flawless throughout the entire season. Congrats guys!
