USA BASSIN: The Next Generation

Attention to all who know a youth who enjoys bass fishing.  USA BASSIN is pleased to announce that a new tournament trail is starting for the 2010 season.  USA BASSIN: The Next Generation is an adult/youth team tournament trail.  USA BASSIN prides itself in offering low cost local fishing tournaments.  This is a great structure for adult/youth teams.  The rules are generally the same as the adult trail.  In fact The Next Generation teams can fish any of the regular adult divisional tournaments offered in 17 states.  Here are some important points about The Next Generation:

  1. Any youth under the age of 18 by August 31, 2010, is eligible to participate in the USA BASSIN: The Next Generation trail and that season’s classic. The youth will receive a free membership.
  2. Adult/youth teams pay a membership of $25 to compete in the trail.  They can compete in both the adult and Next Generation trails but will have to pay an additional membership for the adult trail if they wish to fish that classic as well.
  3. Adults cannot fish solo and must fish with a qualifying youth.  Youth substitutes can be used as long as they meet the age requirement.  No subs allowed at the classic.
  4. Teams that finish the season with 150 points or more are eligible to fish The Next Generation Classic, held on Douglas Lake, TN on June 11 & 12, 2011.
  5. USA BASSIN plans to give out two scholarships: One scholarship will be given to the winner of The Next Generation Classic.  All teams that fish The Next Generation Classic but did not win the scholarship may write an essay on bass fishing for the other scholarship.  All scholarships will be put into a trust under the youth’s name until they commit to a school of their choice.

What a great way to share the competition and excitement of bass fishing with our future, The Next Generation.  Get your team ready and let the director know your plans.
