Latest News Carrollton Ohio River Regional Tuesday, October 29, 2019 The Carrollton Ohio River Regional was held on the Ohio River out of the Carrollton Ramp on October 27th. It featured a guaranteed first-place prize of $4,000 plus the option to win $750 in Carroll County Bonus Cash. This was done by a random drawing and those who stayed in a hotel in Carroll County for two nights were eligible to win. Todd Haymond and Kenny Bailey had never fished this part of the river, but it didn't matter as they were able to take the win with a 7.07lb limit. "I'm from Indiana and he's just across the border in Illinois and we have never fished there. We found them biting ChatterBaits on flats in practice and that is how we caught them in the tournament," said Haymond who added that they caught fish on other baits, but the ChatterBait was the best producer. The team reported catching seven or eight keepers and several short fish throughout the day. Their bag included both largemouth and spotted bass. They were surprised that they were able to pull out the win against the locals and said they will be back next year. Top 5
