Latest News Rend Lake Regional Monday, October 04, 2021 The Rend Lake Regional featured a guaranteed first place prize of $5,000 and the team of Dennis and Ty Heape claimed the with with 14.98 pounds. They felt fortunate to be able to get on their prime spots based on what they found prefishing and put four solid fish in the boat in the morning. "We started in one spot and were surprised nobody else was there," Dennis Heape said. "We didn't think we would be able to fish there since there was so many boats. We caught two there to start the day." Then they ran up the lake and again, nobody was there. "We had some good fortune and caught two right away," he said. "It was 9:15 and we had four good fish." Then they went until 1:15 before they rounded out the limit that would end up being the winning bag. The team caught them on a variety of different baits with eight bass on the day. "We caught some pitching, some on a spinnerbait, and a few on topwater," he said. Top 5 Results
