| Â | Latest News LAND BIG FISH TOC Thursday, May 05, 2022 The Land Big Fish Tournament of Champions was held during Championship Week on Lake Chickamauga and featured a top prize of $10,000! Taking the win was John Warren and Eric Johnson with 21.83lb. They fish Ohio's Rocky Fork Division and previously won this event on Chickamauga in the fall of 2020. The day started off slowly for them, but everything turned around for them in the final two hours. "We started off in the morning and were catching some short fish and only had two keepers at 2:00," said Warren. "We had a spot we found in practice with spawning fish, but conditions had to be right. When the sun came out and the wind switched directions in the afternoon, we went in there." The area was a spawning flat with grass that they found in practice and they were able to catch eight keepers there to close out the day, including a 8.24lb fish caught on a glide bait. "The big one was on the glide bait and the rest were on a Senko on the grass lines and in the wholes in the grass." Congrats to the winning team and all of the TOC qualifiers! Top 5
