Latest News Coalfield Spring Division on East Lynn Lake.![]() Wednesday, March 23, 2011 West Virginia’s Coalfield spring division held on East Lynn Lake has completed its first tournament of the year. Under director Jason Williamson’s command anglers took off with weather temps in the 60’s and water temps in the low 50’s with light winds. East Lynn Lake is located on the East Fork of the Twelevepole Creek, 10 miles south of Wayne, WV, on State Route 37. East Lynn Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, water quality, fish management and recreation. There is a total of 24,841 acres of project lands and waters at East Lynn. East Lynn is 12 miles long and 1005 acres of water at summer pool and 44 miles of shoreline.
USA Bassin’ team that took home top honors was Josh Justice and Junior Cook with 7.52. Second place spot went to Mick Baisden and Cody was second with 5.48 and third to Jason Williamson with 5.48. Big Bass for the day went to Cody Toler with a 2.91. Jason wants to extend an invitation to all Bassin members that may be in the West Virginia area to fish the Coalfield Spring Division.
Many divisions are now underway. If you haven’t yet paid your Bassin membership for the year directors encourage members to do so prior to the first event if possible. This will save time in the morning and assure your fishing starts on time. As always thank you to Jason and all directors across the country for all they do for Bassin. Without our directors our great tournament series would not be possible.
