IN-08 Lake Monroe Fall Division

Lake Monroe in Bloomington, Indiana has been a venue for BASSIN anglers since the start of USA BASSIN and many consider the lake an extremely difficult lake to win on. Rick Ingram established every division on Monroe, co-ed, night, spring and fall. Rick currently directs each one. The fall division on Monroe has long been the division that carries some heavy bags of bass. For the most part pleasure boaters are gone and fishing pressure is reduced drastically. Rex Remington is no stranger to carrying heavy bags of bass to weigh-in in the fall on Lake Monroe. Rex has fished the fall and other BASSIN divisions for several years solo with the exception of this year on Lake Monroe. Rex teamed up with his son Dean to form a team that would perform flawlessly during 2013 fall season. The fourth tournament of the division Team Remington won with an 18 lb. plus sack of largemouth. However, before to the last tournament of the year a full moon and a cold front came in making the bite extremely slow for all anglers. Rex and Dean were able to catch Just 5.66 lbs. during the division’s final tournament but the weight would hold up to catch the final win of the fall division. Remington’s won all five division tournaments to earn a perfect 500 points for the divisional title. Team Remington caught 74.85 lbs. during the five tournaments despite only 5.66 lbs. tournament at the end of the season. Winning the divisional title for the Lake Monroe Fall Division enables team Remington to fish the Lucas Oil Tournament of Champions. Date: 10/12/2013:  1st.. Place   5 Fish; Total Weight: 17.52;  Points earned 100

Date: 10/26/2013:  1st. Place  5 Fish; Total Weight: 12.27;    Points earned 100

Date: 11/09/2013:  1st. Place   5 Fish; Total Weight: 18.42;   Points earned 100

Date: 11/16/2013:  1st. place   3 Fish; Total Weight: 5.66;     Points earned 100

The team weighed in 23 fish during the season. Weighed in a total of 69.19 pounds. Their biggest fish for the season weighed-in at 5.28lbs.They finished the season with 500 points and won the division over team Gilmer Addington / Terry Brandenburg by 114 points. Congratulations again to Rex Remington / Dean Remington for winning the Divisional Championship and securing a spot in the Lucas Oil Tournament Of Champions Tournament.
