Director's Classic - Lake Barkley

Director's Classic - Lake Barkley

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

The Director's Classic was held on Lake Barkley on November 8th. Directors from across the country had the opportunity to fish for bragging rights and a top prize of $3,000!

Taking first place was Tony Eckler and Chuck Manning who are the director and assistant director of the TN-06 Old Hickory Lake Division. Barkley was changing quickly during the event with dropping water and a cold front coming through, but the team was able to adjust and bring in a limit weighing 15.72. "The week before we were catching them on topwater and umbrella rigs and that is what we planned to do. We did that for a few hours without any luck and switchd to shallow crankbaits," said Eckler. They stayed in Barkley and fished the south end and were able to adapt after not catching a fish until 10:00.

Congrats to all of the top teams and thank you for being directors!
