Latest News Garmin Grand Giveaway Winners Thursday, November 19, 2015 Erik Tilson and Chandler Cornelius won the recent Central Florida Regional. As if the $1,000 prize they won from that event wasn't enough, they took home an additional $1,000 as part of the Garmin Grand Giveaway for having Garmin electronics on their boat. The story of the extra $1,000 almost didn't happen. Erik was unaware of the prize until the tournament director called him and told him about it after his win. As luck would have it, Erik had just purchased a Garmin echoMAP prior to the Florida State Regional that was held on the St. John's River a few weeks ago. "I was fishing backwaters up there and had to buy a GPS or I would have gotten lost. The Garmin unit has been great and has already paid for itself," said Tilson.
