Brownie's Big Bass Bonanza

Thursday, April 21, 2016

The Brownie's Big Bass Bonanza was held on Geist Reservoir out of the Olio Ramp on April 17th. The tournament feautured four separate weigh-in periods for teams to bring in their big bass; 7:15 am - 9:15 am, 9:15 am-11:15 am, 11:15 am - 1:15 pm and 1:15 pm - 3:15 pm.

Taking the biggest bass overall was Ron Britt who weighed in a 5.92lb bass in the last time period. He was fishing solo as his son got called into work.  He caught several small fish early in the day, but when he made a change towards the end of the day and moved deeper he got the big one. He headed to the main lake and fished drops with a jig and Christie Craw trailer when he hooked into the $1,000 fish at 2:40, just in time to get back to the weigh-in at 3:15.

Congrats to Ron for his win!
