Latest News National Points Champion Wednesday, May 04, 2016 This year's National Points Champion fished 43 divisional tournaments last season. Joe Johnson fished all season by himself after also winning this title last year with a partner. He earned a total of 3500 points during last season, won two points titles and also claimed two wins along the way. So what's his secret? Joe fished multiple divisions and just about every weekend. "I fished several divisions on Barkley Lake and sometimes would just look for any tournament going on that was within 180 miles of home. Many of them were unfamiliar to me and I just went and tried to figure it out without any pre-fishing," Johnson says. He would like to thank Craig at C&O Marine for their support of him as well as for supporting the four divisions and regionals in the Dover, TN area. Johnson also would like to thank his other sponsors that include Lew's, Yamaha, P-Line and Mantis Lures. Congrats Joe! If you look at the current year's standings, he is leading it again and may win for the third straight year. For his great accomplishment hee received a free three night stay at the cabin at Dale Hollow Lake, a free entry into the divisional tournament held that weekend and a gallon of Lucas Oil for his boat.
