Latest News Lake Monroe Open Tuesday, August 16, 2016 The Lucas Oil Lake Monroe Open was held on August 13th. The winning team was Dan Pennington and Dan Field with 18.96lbs. The team caught two fish very early and the rain and lightning started. "We got those two right away and then nothing until the afternoon after the weather had passed," said Pennington. The team relied on crankbaits and spinnerbaits all day and were able to catch four more fish after 1:00. Even with just six keeper bites all day, they found the quality needed to take the win. As a result of their finish, the team also qualified for the Lucas Oil Tournament of Champions. This event will be held on Kentucky Lake and feature a $10,000 first place prize.
