Latest News WKDZ Bass Rodeo Garmin Winners Friday, September 02, 2016 The WKDZ Country Bass Rodeo on Barkley Lake was put together by local radio station WKDZ 106.5 FM. As part of the tournament, a special contest was being help among the anglers. The team with the closest weight to the radio station's channel number 106.5 would win a Garmin fishfinder. The team had to be closest to 10.65lbs without going over. The team of Joey Schmidt and Gerald Andrews originally weighed 10.71lbs, which would not have helped them. Instead, they had a dead fish penalty of .50lbs and that gave them 10.21 which was the closest to the lucky numbers. They won a Garmin Striker 5DV fishfinder and were surprised to know they won. "It just happened. We were just trying to catch a limit and weren't even thinking about the contest," said Schmidt, Congrats guys!
