Latest News Central MI Regional & Garmin Grand Tuesday, October 04, 2016 Cadillac / Mitchell Lakes was the site of the Central Michigan Regional. The winning team of Aaron Feeback and Don Watts won the event with a limit weighing 13.20lbs for the $1,000 guaranteed first place prize plus the $1,000 for the Garmin Grand for using Garmin electronics during the event. The additional $1,000 from Garmin was thanks to smart thinking by the team. Feeback fished this event as a non-boater but owned a Garmin. They decided to install it on the boat owned by Watts specifically to be eligible for this prize. "We used it for GPS and it worked great during the event," said Watts. The fishing was tougher than expected and they were only able to catch eight keepers all day. "Usually at Cadillac this time of year you catch 30 keepers every day," said Watts The winning team caught fish on topwater early and flipping cover later in the day.
