Latest News Southern Ohio State Regional![]() Monday, October 10, 2016 Tough fishing was the story of the Southern Ohio State Regional that was held out of Rocky Fork Lake. A lake that normally takes weights between 16-18lbs to win was decided by less than ten pounds for the winner. It was a close race, but Richard Burns and Ben Middleton were able to take the title and win $3,500 guaranteed first place prize. The duo only caught five keepers the entire day. Three early in the morning and two more late in the day. The fish were caught a variety of ways in water between 1-7 feet deep. "Our last fish came right at the end in about a foot of water. We got that one and had to race back to the weigh-in," said Burns. The fish came by fishing a swimbait and also soft plastics fished very slowly. Top 5 Standings:
